The Augusta Symphony Orchestra is an independent, non-profit organization funded by ticket sales, donations and special fund raising activities. Donations are tax deductible and checks made out to Augusta Symphony Orchestra may be mailed to Augusta Symphony Orchestra, PO Box 5694, Augusta, ME 04332
Founded shortly after World War I, the ASO has had the privilege of sharing great classic and modern works of symphonic music with the central Maine region for nearly 90 years. This vibrant community orchestra includes individuals spanning all age groups and walks of life, from high school students to doctors and active retirees.
Augusta Symphony Orchestra serves as an educational and charitable organization through which amateur and semi-professional musicians will have opportunities to perform great music, encourage public interest in symphonic music, develop interest and artistic growth in musical instrument playing at all levels, make possible the performance of large musical works, and provide a public service by presenting concerts in the surrounding region.
